Analysis of Collision Channel with Asynchronous Access

چکیده
SUMMARY A T user multiple access collision channel without feedback is considered where the channel inputs are called packets. The packets take values from non-binary input alphabet. It is supposed that at most M users are active, i.e., are communicating simultaneously (2 ≤ M T). We are looking for codes and protocol sequences of users of minimum length such that from the output of the channel it can be determined which users were active, what were their synchron positions, and what they sent.

Collision-Free Asynchronous Multi-Channel Access in Ad Hoc Networks
In this paper, we present a collision-free asynchronous multi-channel access protocol for Ad Hoc wireless networks using a single transceiver. Our protocol, dubbed AMMAC for Asynchronous Multi-channel Medium Access Control, targets low-cost and low-power deployments where nodes are equipped with a single transceiver. Other distinguishing features of AM-MAC include its simplicity and the fact th...
متن کاملBit Error Performance for Asynchronous Ds Cdma Systems Over Multipath Rayleigh Fading Channels (RESEARCH NOTE)
In recent years, there has been considerable interest in the use of CDMA in mobile communications. Bit error rate is one of the most important parameters in the evaluation of CDMA systems. In this paper, we develop a technique to find an accurate approximation to the probability of bit error for asynchronous direct–sequence code division multiple–access (DS/CDMA) systems by modeling the multipl...
متن کاملAchieving Capacity of Bi-Directional Tandem Collision Network by Joint Medium-Access Control and Channel-Network Coding
In ALOHA-type packetized network, the transmission times of packets follow a stochastic process. In this paper, we advocate a deterministic approach for channel multiple-access. Each user is statically assigned a periodic protocol signal, which takes value either zero or one, and transmit packets whenever the value of the protocol signal is equal to one. On top of this multiple-access protocol,...
متن کاملCapacity And QoS Analysis For A Novel Packet Based Wireless Access System
A recently proposed novel approach to asynchronous wireless random packet networking [1] promises great enhancements in system performance. In this paper, mathematical and simulation results are presented which confirm the predictions made in [1]. It is shown that the penalty in choosing random spreading sequences over orthogonal ones in terms of channel capacity vanishes quickly as the process...
متن کاملRc-mac: Receiver Centric Medium Access Protocol for Wireless Sensor Networks
Heavy traffic causes collision; there lies the challenge of providing the bias-free medium access opportunities to the sensor nodes. Hence, medium access protocol in event-driven WSN should be able to address two performance issues, energy efficiency of the system and the throughput. In this paper, we present a protocol, RC-MAC which integrates duty cycling and receiver-centric scheduling to pr...
